Voisins de Blandonnet, a Community-driven Coworking Space
In a naturally lit space on the ground floor of the BIRD, the cutting-edge coworking space draws in both nomadic workers and businesses, all while embodying the collaborative spirit that defines the Voisins brand.
Curious about Voisins de Blandonnet ? It is the fourth workspace launched by Voisins, a pioneering coworking company in Geneva. Inaugurated in 2019, it was designed to complement BIRD's services, providing all possible work modes and spaces for both freelancers and companies, all in one location.
The space offers a variety of workstations, including meeting rooms, phone booths, fixed desks and private offices, alongside communal areas designed to encourage interaction and collaboration. Not to mention the PLAYGROUND, the BIRD's conference space, which can accommodate up to 200 people in a sports-inspired setting.
"Our coworking space attracts a diverse range of professionals, from individual entrepreneurs to SMEs, representing industries such as cosmetics and IT" - Anthony Zamora, co-director of Voisins.
Ideal Location
Located in the vicinity of Geneva Airport, Voisins de Blandonnet is designed to best meet the needs of its clientele. "Almost 60% of our coworking space at the BIRD is dedicated to private offices. We offer companies the opportunity to establish themselves in a prime Geneva location, without the limitations of traditional leases, which can be too inflexible for fast-growing businesses”, explains Anthony Zamora.
Nicolas Bailly, founder of C.E.R.O, illustrates the diverse needs of professionals at Voisins. A hand rehabilitation specialist, he opened his practice at Voisins de Blandonnet last September. "We were looking for a place that was easily accessible, close to public transportation and with a modern setting," he explains.
"The brightness and comfort of the Voisins de Blandonnet immediately appealed to us." - Nicolas Bailly, coworker and Founder of C.E.R.O.
Nicolas and his team have a private space of about 30 square meters, equipped with machines and treatment tables. They also take advantage of the common areas to welcome their patients. "Setting up a medical practice in a coworking space is a first, and everything is going well so far. The location is ideal and makes it easy for our patients to come from all over the region, from downtown Geneva to Meyrin and Vernier."
A Community spirit
Designed by the architects from Ykra, the modern and functional layout of the space promotes a quiet atmosphere, ideal for productivity and collaboration. Residents also benefit from a concierge service and the catering services of the BIRDHOUSE, including the Coffee Corner, Espace Saveurs, and Le Nest restaurant.
Strengthening social connections also plays a key role in the Voisins experience. "We regularly host engaging events, such as workshops, training sessions, or afterworks parties, designed to reinforce the sense of community among our 700 members", explains the co-director of Voisins. "It goes beyond simple professional networking; it's a way to tackle isolation for those who work alone", he adds.
Occupational therapist NB highlights how the sense of community is a key advantage for professionals in coworking spaces: "The Voisins environment connects us with people from diverse backgrounds, which is incredibly enriching."
